Sports and Wellness Director 

The Penns Valley Program Center of the YMCA of Centre County has an opening for a full-time non-exempt Sports and Wellness Director. The director will be responsible for supervising and developing the group exercise program in addition to instructing classes, conducting personal training sessions, and working as a fitness attendant. The Sports and Wellness Director will also develop and implement youth fitness programs, sports camps and leagues. Successful candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, recreation, or a related field as well as experience working with clients one-on-one and/or in a group setting; experience instructing group exercise classes; and demonstrated customer service and communication skills. The YMCA of Centre County offers a robust benefits package for full-time employees, which includes complimentary facility usage for their family and other program benefits; employer-paid health insurance for the employee; participation in the YMCA Retirement Fund; and a generous Paid Time Off package.  The annual earnings range for the Program Director is $28,000 to $30,000 depending on experience.
