The YMCA of Centre County Dodgeball Story

The State College Branch puts on a dodgeball tournament each spring. Started in 2004 by then, intern Tom Gifford, as a class project, it quickly became one of the most exciting events to watch and participate in at the State College YMCA. It has continued every year since, aided by the help of many students, dozens of teams and hundreds of participants have enjoyed reliving the 'glory days' of middle school. Teams have traveled from Maryland, Ohio, Vigrinia, all over Pennsylvania to participate. Proceeds from the tournament go towards our Annual Giving Campaign which supports families and individuals in the community with costs for Y programs and memberships.
