For kids, Y camp is a fun way to enjoy the summer. For moms and dads, it's a way to give their children a positive developmental experience. And for parents who work outside the home, Y camp also serves as child care.

The YMCA of Centre County offers several Day Camp options in both Bellefonte and State College.  Programs are available for school-age children.  Teens ages 12-17 can also find fun at the YMCA this summer!  Sports Clinics are also offered for school-age children.

Bellefonte Branch

Keystone Star 4 Program
Monday - Friday 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Full time:  $120/week
Part time (less than 5 hours/day):  $105/week
Daily Rate:  $29/day (minimum 2 days/week)

Field Trips to Knobels Amusement Park, Spikes Game, Lake Tobias, and more!  Details to be announced.
Activities include games, arts & crafts, science experiments, cooking and team building.

State College Branch ~ Registration Starts March 15 at 5:30 AM at the branch!

*Price is for Regular Hours only (9:00 AM-4:00 PM).  Extended Day Hours available from 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM for $30/week.
Registration accepted per week only.
Each camp attends the listed field trips below.  In addition, Trailblazers have a local field trip each Friday. 
A Lock-In for older campers will be held for Trailblazers on Week 8 & Tussey on Week 9.

*Tussey Mountain camp will not operate Week 10.

Registration Information (State College Branch):

• Begins March 15 at 5:30 AM at the State College Branch.
• All registration for camp must be completed in person at the State College Branch.   It is strongly recommended that registration packets (more information below) be completed prior to coming in to the YMCA.
• All campers are required to be YMCA members.   Click here membership information.
• Each child must have a completed health appraisal form on file by June 14, 2010. 
• A non-refundable deposit of $30 per week is required at the time of registration.
• Session balances are due by the Monday prior to the session attending.
• A three week notice of cancellation must be given to receive a credit.

Teens

Leaders-In-Training (LIT) Program

Youth who are age 13 and older can apply to be a LIT with the State College summer day camp.   The program teaches counseling techniques, group dynampics, camp programming and leadership skills.

Counselors-In-Training (CIT) Program

Teens that have been LITs at the State College branch for two years have the option of applying to become a CIT.  CITs assist in the supervision of LITs in addition to performing LIT duties.

To become an LIT or CIT: 

•  
  • Apply at the State College Branch by April 5, 2010. (downloadable application form)
  • Attend mandatory trainings.
  • Attain or show proof of First Aid & CPR certification.
  • Be YMCA members.
  • Schedule determined by number of applications.

Extreme Teen Camp

Teens ages 13-17 looking for a week filled with fun and adventure should check out the Extreme Teen Camp June 28-July 2.   Camp will be held at the YMCA for a few days, then participants will be bussed to Ohiopyle State Park, camping out for two nights & going whitewater rafting.   Click here for details.

Teen Team Camp

Snorkeling Clinic ~ Wed., Aug. 4 from 5:00-8:00 PM, State College Branch

Sports Clinics
