AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFEGUARDING CLASS
New or expired candidates for an American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification must take the ARC Lifeguarding course in full. This course covers American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid and CPR Pro certifications. Attendance is required during all days of the class. Participants must pass all prerequisite swim tests, demonstrate all skills and pass written and online tests to earn certification.
The 2020 courses will be blended learning courses with portions of the class completed online. When you register, select the dates of the class when you will be doing all of your in-person pool and skills instruction and testing. After registering online, your browser will be redirected to an introductory page for the class, which includes links to the lifeguarding manual, lifeguarding course online content, and a video outlining the prerequisite swimming skills required to take the course. You will need to complete the online course content BEFORE attending the in-person sessions for the dates for which you registered. You will be on your own to complete the online portion of the class before the in-person session that you sign up for.
