The goal of the Y Paint & Play Program is to create a safe and healthy learning environment committed to developing high self-esteem through foundations of early learning. Established in 1976, the Paint & Play School is recognized as one of the best preschools in our area with a phenomenal staff, well equipped for the social, emotional, and academic development of the early learner.

Look How Big (6 mos.-3 yrs.)

Parent/child socialization and play. Look How Big is a one hour, one day a week program for infants six months to toddler 2 ½ years. It is a brief introduction to our Preschool program. The components of this program are music, a project to complete, and activities that are interactive play. A parent, sitter or grandparent must stay with the child during the program.

The YMCA of Centre County recognizes the need to serve all members of the community particularly those economically less advantaged, and who are not able to pay the full cost of the membership or program fee. To apply for the Open Doors Program, pick up an application at the YMCA or online.
