The Audi quattro Cup is a unique 2-player team golf tournament. Click HERE for complete official rules.
At the local Audi State College Tournament, golfers have an opportunity to make a hole-in-one to win an Audi. Golfers with a registered handicap also compete for the opportunity to attend the U.S. Audi quattro Cup Finals, which are held annually at a world renowned golf course.
Audi State College is committed to giving back to its community. That’s why in 2011 Audi’s leadership team decided to partner with a local charity for its annual Audi quattro Cup Golf Tournament. The charity selected was the YMCA of Centre County. Jeff Irwin, General Manager/Partner of Audi State College, said, “The YMCA of Centre County is our charity of choice for the Audi quattro Cup Golf Tournament because we believe in giving back to the residents of this community and the surrounding areas.”
Since its inception, Audi State College’s event has been coordinated by Ruthie Irwin. Ruthie was on the State College YMCA Branch Board in 2011 when Audi State College selected the Y as the quattro Cup Tournament beneficiary. Ruthie takes care of setting up this fantastic event with Toftrees Golf Resort, the tournament site. Ruthie also manages the tournament planning committee, which meets several times throughout the year to prepare for the Audi quattro Cup.
In the past five years, the YMCA has received over $40,000 in proceeds from the Audi quattro Cup, as well as an additional $6,000 from tee sponsors by local businesses. The funds raised from Audi State College’s quattro Cup tournament supports the Y’s Open Doors Program, which provides financial assistance for membership and program fees, ensuring that no one is turned away from the Y due to inability to pay.
