At the Y, we know how important it is for our members to stay informed about schedule changes, weather closures, and program or event updates. That’s why we share information through multiple channels—emails, social media, our website, and mobile app—so you can get the updates you need in the way that’s most convenient for you.
MOBILE APP
Our mobile app allows you to view current schedules, register for programs, store your membership card for easy check-in, and more! Search “YMCA of Centre County” in the app store and turn on notifications to receive important alerts right on your mobile device.
Turn on notifications to receive alerts:
Click the circle with your initials in the top-left corner of the screen.
Select Settings.
Go to Notifications.
Toggle Class Reminders to ON.
- If you’re still not receiving alerts, check your device’s notification settings and make sure they are enabled.
WEBSITE ALERTS PAGE
The “Facility Alerts” page on our website lists all current alerts for the day. Before you head in—especially during bad weather—check this page to see if classes, programs, or events are running as scheduled.

In the event of a branch closure or other alerts affecting a large number of members, we send updates via email. Please ensure the email associated with your membership is current—or subscribe to our mailing list by clicking the link below.
