Heart Health Week – Moshannon Valley
February 12, 2023 - February 18, 2023
The month of February is designated as American Heart Month. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for Americans. According to the CDC:
- Every 40 seconds, someone in the United States suffers from a heart attack.
- About 1 in 5 heart attacks are silent.
- Coronary heart disease is the most common type of heart disease, killing 382,820 people in 2020.
The Moshannon Valley YMCA will be celebrating American Heart Month from February 12-18, so be sure to stop in!
