Head Swim Team Coach

State College Branch

The State College Branch of the YMCA of Centre County is seeking an experienced, community-focused Head Swim Team Coach for the SCAY Aqualions. This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package. Successful applicants will have at least 2 years of head or strong assistant coaching experience that demonstrates successful program development and management, character-driven leadership, excellent communication skills, and a personal commitment to the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. The Head Coach will be responsible for developing and supervising practices for all levels of swimmers; hiring, training, scheduling, and mentoring assistant coaches; and working closely with the parent committee on tasks such as recruiting and managing meet volunteers. Previous experience with Meet Manager and Team Unify software preferred as is a current lifeguard certification; familiarity with the Y USA swim lesson curriculum; and USA Swimming and YMCA Swim Coach certifications. Expected start date is in August 2017. Assistant Swim Team Coaches

Both the Bellefonte and State College branches of the YMCA of Centre County have openings for part-time assistant swim team coaches to start for the fall season in September. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis with interviews taking place in August. Adaptive Swim Lesson Instructor

State College Branch

Member Service Representative

State College Branch and Penns Valley Program Center

Moshannon Valley Branch

The Moshannon Valley Branch of the YMCA of Centre County is seeking energetic, dependable individuals to fill part-time positions in our after-school child care program at Port Matilda Elementary. Hours are 3-6pm in the afternoons Mondays through Fridays.  Ideal candidates must have at least 15 credit hours in the Human Services field and experience working with children in a group setting. Successful applicants for both positions will be required to obtain PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse History and FBI Clearances. Child Care Staff

Penns Valley Program Center

The Penns Valley Program Center of the YMCA of Centre County is seeking energetic, dependable individuals to fill part-time positions in our child care program. There are open positions for both the before- and after-school program at our Centre Hall and Penns Valley Elementary School locations; program hours are 6:30-8am in the mornings and 2:30-6pm in the afternoons.  Ideal candidates must have at least 15 credit hours in the Human Services field and experience working with children in a group setting.

The Penns Valley Program Center is also seeking patient, responsible individuals to fill part-time Child Watch Staff positions.  Child Watch is a child care program offered for family members while they workout or participate in wellness programming. Previous experience working with children is preferred but not required.  Hours are Mondays through Thursdays from 9-11:30am and 5-8pm.

Indoor Cycling Instructor

State College Branch

The YMCA of Centre County’s State College Branch is currently seeking an Indoor Cycling Instructor to teach class on Mondays and Thursdays at 9:30am.  Cycling instructor certification and prior experience preferred. Successful candidates will be required to obtain PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse History and FBI Clearances as well as maintain current CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications. The Moshannon Valley Branch of the YMCA of Centre County is seeking part-time gymnastics instructors/assistant coaches.  Previous instructing or coaching experience in gymnastics is required.  This part-time position will assist the Gymnastics Coordinator with practices, competitive meets, and communication with parents/guardians about student progress.  Successful candidates will not only have the previously mentioned qualifications but also be positive, enthusiastic, and consistently hard working. Group Exercise Staff

The YMCA of Centre County’s Bellefonte Branch has openings for experienced and motivated Group Exercise Instructors. We are looking for enthusiastic team members certified in any (or multiple) of the following areas: yoga, Zumba, Pilates, Barre, or a general fitness/group exercise certification. These part-time positions offer potential scheduling flexibility and the opportunity to creatively engage the community in getting active together.
